Beyond Gold: How Wibe Group is Redefining Sustainability Excellence in 2026

In a sector as carbon-intensive as steel and cable management, many might view a "Gold" rating as the finish line. For Wibe Group, however, it marked the beginning point for a deeper transformation.

The Story Behind the Score: Action Over Words

The "aha" moment for Wibe Group’s partners and customers isn't found in a trophy cabinet, but in the tangible changes happening across factories and supply chains. Ranked in the top 5% globally, with a 97th percentile score, placing us in the top 3% of assessed companies in the ‘Manufacture of other fabricated metal products n.e.c.’ industry, Wibe Group has gone beyond reporting and into meaningful operational shifts.

Key milestones that drove this year’s success include:

  • Electrifying the Fleet: Wibe Group has seen a 51.7% year-on-year increase in the distance travelled by its electric vehicle fleet, as fuel-based cars are being continuously phased out in a phased and systematic way.
  • Decarbonising the Factory Floor: At the Mora factory, Diesel-powered equipment such as forklifts and side loaders is being progressively replaced with electric alternatives wherever operationally feasible, based on application requirements and phased implementation. A Unique Position in a Traditional Market

What makes Wibe Group unique is the combination of a 100-year heritage and a start-up mindset. While the steel industry is historically one of the most challenging to decarbonise, Wibe Group is proving that a commitment to transparency and innovation can move the needle—even when you are already among the elite.

This year, Wibe Group also achieved a CDP Climate Rating of B. CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) is a global environmental disclosure system that evaluates how companies manage and disclose their climate-related risks, targets, and performance; a 'B' rating indicates that Wibe Group is actively taking coordinated climate action and moving beyond basic disclosure.
