Reliable cable management for demanding industrial environments
Built for heavy loads, harsh environments and continuous operation.
Integrated infrastructure
Solutions for every industrial application
Industrial projects rarely have a single requirement. Different areas within the same facility often require different cable management systems depending on cable type, load requirements, environmental conditions, hygiene demands and maintenance accessibility.
Our portfolio combines cable ladders, cable trays, mesh trays and support systems, enabling engineers to optimize every part of the installation.
Industrial facilities operate around the clock. Whether in manufacturing plants, battery factories, process industries, food production facilities, warehouses or utility plants, cable infrastructure must deliver reliable performance under demanding conditions while remaining flexible enough for future expansion.
Since 1929, industrial installations have been at the heart of Wibe Group’s business, giving us nearly a century of experience solving complex cable management challenges in demanding environments. Today, our portfolio spans steel and FRP/GRP cable management systems, enabling us to solve application challenges ranging from standard factory environments to offshore and highly corrosive industrial facilities.

FAQ

The optimal cable management system depends on cable type, load requirements, environmental conditions and future expansion plans.
Cable ladders are typically preferred for heavy power distribution and long-span installations. Cable trays provide additional cable protection and segregation, while mesh trays offer a lightweight and flexible solution for automation, instrumentation and control cabling.
For demanding applications, Wibe Group offers solutions in both steel and FRP/GRP materials. While steel systems are widely used across industrial facilities, FRP/GRP solutions are particularly suitable for highly corrosive, offshore and non-conductive environments.
In addition to conventional cable management systems, the MultiFlex GRP support system provides exceptional installation flexibility. Designed to support heavy-duty cabling, it features adjustable connection points and multi-directional mounting possibilities, allowing support structures to be adapted to complex routing requirements.
Many industrial projects combine several systems to achieve the best balance between load capacity, installation speed, corrosion resistance and lifecycle cost. With cable ladders, cable trays, mesh trays and dedicated support systems in one integrated portfolio, Wibe Group helps ensure that every part of a facility can be equipped with the most suitable solution.
Choosing the correct corrosion protection starts with identifying the environmental conditions surrounding the installation.
Industrial environments range from low-corrosive indoor spaces to highly aggressive offshore and chemical-processing facilities. Wibe Group offers solutions covering corrosion classes from C1 to CX, including galvanized steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, stainless steel and FRP/GRP alternatives.
Selecting the correct material and surface treatment can significantly extend service life and reduce maintenance requirements. Learn more about how to determine the corrosion class of a specific environment here.
Choose GRP for extreme corrosive environments. Both stainless steel and GRP solutions are suitable for harsh CX environments such as offshore, marine and heavy industrial facilities. However, GRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer) provides inherent corrosion resistance and is particularly well suited for applications exposed to aggressive chemicals, high chloride levels, wastewater treatment processes or other conditions that can accelerate corrosion in metallic materials.
Choose GRP for non-conductive applications. Unlike steel, GRP is electrically non-conductive, making it an attractive choice where electrical insulation is required. GRP systems are also available with anti-static properties for applications with specific safety requirements.
Choose steel for maximum load capacity and versatility. Steel remains the preferred choice for many industrial installations due to its exceptional strength, broad range of surface treatments and ability to support high cable loads over long spans. For the most demanding applications, Wibe reinforced cable ladders offer outstanding load-carrying performance while maintaining installation flexibility and long service life.
Choose steel for its excellent EMC properties. Steel provides natural electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), whereas GRP is electromagnetically transparent. However, polyester resin can be given anti-static properties to meet specific project requirements. Our Anti-static resin (AS) contains carbon powder, which increases the conductivity of the material and, as a result, this material requires grounding.
The best solution may be a combination of both. Many industrial projects benefit from using both materials. Steel can be selected where maximum strength and long spans are required, while GRP provides a durable solution in highly corrosive or electrically sensitive environments. Together, they enable the most effective balance of performance, durability and lifecycle cost.
